Emergency Hormonal Contraception Survey
Cheshire East Council currently commissions a number of pharmacies across Cheshire East to provide free emergency hormonal contraception (morning after pill) to all persons present in the area who request the service and who are eligible to receive the service under clinical guidelines.
Currently the service is provided free to all women regardless of age. However as of 1st July, the pharmacy will only be able to provide the service for free to women who are under the age of 25.
Women who are aged 25 and over will still be able to access the morning after pill via a prescription from the GP and from local sexual health clinics. Alternatively, the pill is also available to purchase from your local pharmacy.
Please submit your response by Friday 22 June 2018.
Local Transport Plan 2018 - 2023
Cheshire East Council is now consulting on a new Local Transport Plan which will cover the period 2018-2023. The updated strategy considers all forms of transport over the next 5 years (2018-2023). It is a framework for how transport will support wider policies to improve our economy, protect our environment and make attractive places to live, work and play. The Plan outlines the role transport will play in supporting the long term goals of Cheshire East.
Your views are important to us. You can tell us your views and opinions on the Local Transport Plan and help shape the future of your area.

South East Manchester Multi Modal (SEMMM) Strategy
In parallel to the Local Transport Plan, the Council is also working with Stockport Council to consult on a new South East Manchester Multi Modal (SEMMM) Strategy to identify solutions to traffic and travel problems experienced by stakeholders in the north of the Borough. The SEMMM Strategy is a Transport Strategy for the area south east of Manchester, covering the borough of Stockport, the northern extent of Cheshire East, and parts of Derbyshire and south Manchester.
The draft Strategy presents an updated Vision and Objectives for the strategy area, and suggested package of schemes, covering all different transport modes. We believe this investment is needed to deliver a high-quality transport system for our residents, and which can help to sustain our growth ambitions for the area.
